Jeff Goldblum has hinted that he may appear in Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder.
While speaking to BuzzFeed about his potential future with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jeff Goldblum has indicated that further appearances as the Grandmaster (a supporting antagonist to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor) are on the table, including with the fourth Thor movie set to film next year. In addition, Jeff Goldblum has also confirmed that he’s recorded his lines for What If…?, the MCU’s first animated show:
“Hey, we’re talking about it, in fact. You know, I hope so. I love Taika Waititi, he’s a great director and a friend of mine, so I hope so… But I played the part again a couple of days ago. I went to the Disney Studios and I recorded the Grandmaster’s voice for an episode of a show that’s gonna be on Disney+ called What If…?“

Jeff Goldblum has previously explained that he’s interested in interacting with Benicio Del Toro’s the Collector, whose fate is unknown after a Thanos-created illusion of the character appeared in Avengers: Infinity War. The two characters are siblings in this continuity, and while it’s unlikely that the Collector will appear in Chris Hemsworth’s fourth Thor film, other possibilities could still be open.
Directed by Taika Waititi, Thor: Love and Thunder stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Taika Waititi. The film will be based on Jason Aaron’s Mighty Thor comic book run, with Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster set to become the second Thor without explicitly replacing the original.
Thor: Love and Thunder opens in theaters on November 5, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest updates on Jeff Goldblum, Chris Hemsworth, and the Thor franchise.
