Sounds Like Jennifer Lawrence Has Changed Her Mind; ‘Dying’ To Do More ‘X-Men’ Films

Jennifer Lawrence Lucas Till X-MenWith her contract coming to an end the Oscar winning actress seeming uninterested, it has seemed for some time now that X-Men: Apocalypse might just be Jennifer Lawrence’s final film in the franchise. At one point the actress even stated that this would be her last one, but it appears she may have had a change of heart recentlty. While speaking with Empire, Lawrence commented on continuing on with the role and how she is “dying” to return for more.

I am dying to come back. I love these movies, I love being in them. I love ensemble movies because it’s not on anyone’s shoulders.

While that doesn’t mean that the actress will definitely be back in the next installment, it seems a safe bet that if she wants in, 20th Century Fox will be bringing her back. While not everyone is particularly a fan of her incarnation of the character, it would be a waste not to. Sound off with your thoughts on Lawrence returning for more entries in the comments section below.

I’ve seen enough Mystique. Let other characters have their time to shine.

Doesn’t mean she should completely disappear. She can still be in the stories, just make characters like Jean Grey and Cyclops the focus.

I agree with you, but would she? I mean, would she accept a small part? She change the costume design of the character, she became the main hero(playing a villain). Maybe a great role as a hero and a great death could he a very special way of saying goodbye.

      • Carl

Sure but she’s gonna have to get paid. That money would probably be better spent elsewhere. Take RDJ in Civil War as an example, he negotiated a huge pay out but it’s worth it because of the epic story being told. Will Mystique ever be worth that?

I’m going to take a wild guess here but since J-Law has now finished 2 major franchises, Hunger Games and X-Men First Class- she is feeling the pinch to her wallet. Perhaps rolling with a hefty paycheck makes up for the hours of make-up involved with Mystique.

Personally, I am very tired of her character. 6 films on a traditional X-Men baddie is enough. I’ve never been impressed with Singer’s interpretation of the character and since Jennifer Lawrence took over the role all I see is the actress now. I suggest give the character a rest and give the spotlight to other X-Men. The X-universe is vast but for the amount of films dedicated to the license -there are only a few characters explored.

She is the top paid actress in Hollywood, she doesn’t need to anything for money.

  • Vegas82

I’m not really surprised she’d be willing to do more of these movies. She seems to like her fellow cast and it pays well. The only tough part is getting blued every day, and with a bit of space most actors find a way to rationalize that torture.

Actually, her face is make up, her body is in a suit.

Of course she wants to come back. It’s a huge franchise, and she gets paid pretty well to make the movies, and it seems like they have her in the makeup a lot less than they did in the beginning all the while making her character more prominent. Why wouldn’t she want to come back?

  • unpaidpundit

Lawrence says the films are ensembles, but the trailers make it look like Mystique has become the leader of the X-Men. I’m fine with Lawrence staying on as Mystique. The character has become more prominent in the X-Books over the years, and J. Law is a great actor. Marvel might want to steal her away to play Captain Marvel, though.

    I hope that’s just a pun.

Can they please get rid of Jennifer already? She’s not doing Mystique any justice at all by being Blue version of Katniss Everdeen.
