During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote Avengers: Endgame, Jeremy Renner played coy when asked about the reports of a Hawkeye series for Disney Plus.
Yesterday, it was reported a Hawkeye series is in development at Disney+ with Jeremy Renner attached to reprise his role as Clint Barton. However, when Jimmy Kimmel asked about Variety’s report on the Disney+ series, Jeremy Renner avoided confirming or denying the possibility of a Hawkeye show:
“Well, that’s… look at their name. They have a variety of stories. They have lots of different things to say.”
When Jimmy Kimmel noted Variety is a reliable source of information, Jeremy Renner agreed with his statement but stated he doesn’t know about a Hawkeye series:
“They could be… with their stories, the variety of stories that they have. I don’t know anything about this.”
The Disney+ Hawkeye series will reportedly center on Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton as he passes the torch to Kate Bishop, but fans will see Clint Barton return for Endgame before then.
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019.
