Hawkeye himself, Jeremy Renner has fractured his right elbow and his left wrist after performing a stunt on the set of Avengers: Infinity War.

Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner has fractured his right elbow and his left wrist after performing a stunt on the set of Avengers: Infinity War.

Jeremy Renner revealed his injuries during a press conference for Wind River at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival on Friday telling the press “that’s how it goes,” as he added, “it’s part of the job.”

Plot details for Avengers: Infinity War are still under wraps but it is known that it will feature the culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe as the divided team of Avengers are brought back together to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy and take on the Mad Titan, Thanos.

It’s unclear how Renner’s injury will affect his role in the next Avengers film which has been filming since February. The film is expected to complete production this month before the actors are due back shortly to begin work on Avengers 4 but the actor assured he will do whatever it takes to get the job done as he explained:

“I’m sort of a problem solver, you know. There will be an effect to it, but it won’t stop me from doing things that I need to be doing. I’ll heal fast. I’m doing everything I can to heal faster.”

Renner is currently working on another project which he also assured would not be impacted by his injury:

“I’m doing a job that isn’t really requiring a ton of stunts. It’s not an action movie; it’s a comedy. It just happens to have a few stunts in it. So I don’t have to beat a whole lot of people up or do anything crazy. So it won’t really affect my job….It affects how I get dressed in the morning. I can’t tie my shoes, but outside of that and everything else, I can kind of get by.”

Avengers: Infinity War is being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo with a script from Captain America: Winter Soldier writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautisa, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel as well as Pom Klementieff, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Tom Holland, Sebastian Stan, Chadwick Boseman, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Hiddleston, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Infinity War is slated to hit theaters May 4, 2018, with Avengers 4  set for release one year later on May 3, 2019. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
