With the Marvel Netflix shows drawing to a close, many fans are eagerly awaiting the final season of Jessica Jones. Netflix was once dominated by Marvel shows such as Daredevil, Luke Cage, and The Defenders, but all of them were recently canceled by the streaming service. However, when the cancellations began, Jessica Jones was in production on its third season. Jessica Jones was canceled at the streaming service prior to the third season’s release, but fans were promised that it would still drop and serve as the final one.

After the downfall of Marvel’s relationship with Netflix, all eyes are on Jessica Jones as the show’s fanbase says goodbye to Krysten Ritter’s character. Today, Neflix released a brand new trailer for the final season, which will be released next week. You can watch the trailer below.

The final season of Jessica Jones looks absolutely crazy and disturbing. The series teases great resolution to the falling out between Jessica Jones and Trish Walker and additionally brings back other familiar faces. The trailer also gives fans a preview of who we can expect to be the villain this season. The trailer also reveals the villain of this season: Gregory Salinger. Also known as Foolkiller, Gregory Salinger is a classic Marvel Comics villain who seeks to purify the world of people he considers “fools.”

While the villainous Foolkiller sounds terrifying, fans are sure to receive a great season as Jessica Jones herself Krysten Ritter worked behind the camera and directed an episode of the series. While we are unsure of what exactly takes place in the episode, fans should be excited for the second episode of this season, which marks Krysten Ritter’s directorial debut.

Many fans are still hopeful that the Marvel Netflix characters will return on Disney+ or even the main Marvel Cinematic Universe.
