Arrow Human Target

If you are a fan of Human Target as well as Arrow, then you are going to love this piece of news which features both those characters. KSiteTV broke the news today that Jessica Jones actor Wil Traval has been cast in the fifth season of Arrow as Christopher Chance a.k.a. Human Target.

Human Target has been on television before as Christopher Valley had a short lived series with 2010-2011 FOX TV series where he was played by Mark Valley. In addition, the character had his own series as early as 1992 when Rick Springfield played the character for just 7 episodes before it got cancelled. Here is how Warner Bros. TV describes Arrow’s take of the character to KSiteTV and when he will be appearing in Season 5.

“Wil Traval plays well-renowned DC Comics character Christopher Chance, a.k.a. “Human Target,” in Episode #505: a professional bodyguard and master of disguise who assumes the identities of those targeted by assassins. His latest client: Mayor Oliver Queen.”

KSiteTV also revealed that the episode is titled “Human Target”, fittingly enough, which should air sometime late October or early November.

“After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), former police captain Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), and brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum). But sinister players with a connection to Oliver’s past will push the team to its breaking point, threatening everything Oliver’s worked for and his legacy as the Green Arrow.

Wow. I thought for sure he would be back for JJ season two and or The Defenders. I won’t spoil it for those that aren’t up to date on Jessica Jones, and maybe I’m way off here, but I thought he would be future villain or even anti-hero type on that show.

    • Axxell

Maybe he figures he can do both. I mean, neither are major recurring roles.

This isn’t the first Marvel actor, DC has swiped. Doubt it’ll be the last.

Since DC doesn’t have many actors of their own, they HAVE to swipe for the low hanging fruit.
