The results of a Morning Consult and The Hollywood Reporter poll reveal fans have high expectations for Joaquin Phoenix’s performance in Joker.
Director Todd Phillips and actor Joaquin Phoenix are set to deliver a new take on the Joker this fall and fans are curious o see the acclaimed actor’s portrayal of the classic Batman villain. In fact, the results of a Hollywood Reporter/Morning Consult poll conducted among 2,201 adults between June 6 and 9 shows fans are expecting Joaquin Phoenix’s performance as the Joker to be excellent.
When presented with five choices to describe their expectations of Joaquin Phoenix’s take on the Joker, 37% of those surveyed chose the “excellent” option while 31% of respondents selected “good.” Only 9% chose the “fair” option and “poor” was selected by a distant 2% of those polled. The “Don’t Know/No Opinion” option was selected by 22% of those surveyed.
