The clown prince of crime brought in $13.3 million on Thursday night, breaking the record for October that was previously held by Venom. Projections for the Joaquin Phoenix film have it set to make anywhere from $75-95 million for a record breaking opening weekend.
Venom broke October records last year, opening to $10 million with Thursday night previews. The film currently holds the October opening weekend record with $80.2 million and Jokerย has a decent chance of passing it. Whileย Venom had some serious ย competition with Bradley Cooperโs A Star Is Born,ย Joker is in the clear as the Joaquin Phoenix film is the only big title launching this weekend.
