Joe Manganiello Taunts Batman & Superman Actors During NFL Playoffs

Joe Manganiello Deathstroke The Batman

Joe Manganiello is set to play the deadly assassin Deathstroke in the upcoming film solo Batman film, but it appears the actor is using the NFL playoffs as an opportunity to practice his hand at villainy. Manganiello has taken to social media to taunt his DC Extended Universe co-stars as their respective favorite football teams go face-to-face against his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.

Joe Manganiello posted a message on Twitter featuring an image of Man of Steel star Henry Cavill, a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, on the sidelines following the Chiefs’ defeat at the hands of the Steelers during Sunday nights game. Manganiello mentions that Batman will be his next target and signed the message as Deathstroke. You can check out the post below!

The Batman mention is a nod to Ben Affleck, a fan of the New England Patriots, the team that will face off against the Steelers in the AFC championship game next weekend.

Joe Manganiello has revealed that he will likely being filming on The Batman this spring, though fans have been speculating that Deathstroke will appear in this year’s Justice League following Ben Affleck’s video post featuring the villain while Affleck was shooting the superhero team-up film.

The official Justice League synopsis reads:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League will be released in theaters on November 17, 2017.
