John Boyega trolled Star Wars fans by “teasing” the opening crawl for The Rise of Skywalker.
The main Star Wars saga is set to conclude with The Rise of Skywalker and the creative team behind the film has been hard at work ensuring the secrets of the film aren’t revealed ahead of its release. So, it likely came as a surprise to many Star Wars fans when John Boyega took to his official Instagram account to offer a “sneak peek” at the opening crawl for The Rise of Skywalker.
Of course, this turned out to be a joke on John Boyega’s part, with the crawl eventually reading, “Just Kidding. This isn’t the real scroll. This is just some text we made up. We are doing this to make Hot Content, and this content is HOT.” Fans then see dancing John Boyega gifs over the fake The Rise of Skywalker crawl set to the tune of “VIBEZ” by rapper DaBaby.
