John Krasinski Reveals ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ BTS Photos As Filming Begins

John Krasinski has officially announced that A Quiet Place: Day One is filming.

Production on A Quiet Place: Day One is now underway, as revealed by John Krasinski. The actor-turned-director shared the first behind-the-scenes photos from the highly-anticipated movie on his official Twitter page, showing its cast and crew on set.

The Quiet Place series consists of two films that have earned more than $635 million at the worldwide box office. Both films were directed by John Krasinski, who is best known for his role as Jim Halpert in the US version of The Office.

The Quiet Place movies received praise for their innovative use of sound design, with silence being a key component in creating the suspenseful atmosphere. The films also feature strong performances from the cast, particularly Emily Blunt, who plays the mother in the family, and Krasinski, who plays the father.

The Quiet Place universe expands

Based on an original idea by John Krasinski, Day One was written by Michael Sarnoski and Jeff Nichols, who was originally expected to direct before departing the project over creative differences. Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn lead the cast of the Quiet Place spin-off, which is also set to feature Alex Wolff.

Krasinki is producing A Quiet Place: Day One alongside Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, with Allyson Seeger serving as an executive producer. Krasinski is also working on a direct sequel to the second A Quiet Place film. The sequel does not yet have a release date but is expected to arrive sometime in 2025.
