John Krasinski revealed that he would still love to play Mr. Fantastic in the MCU’s Fantastic Four.
With the film rights to the Fantastic Four now under Disney’s control following the company’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, fans are eager to know what Marvel Studios has planned for the superhero family. Of course, fans already have their own ideas on who should portray the four leads of the Fantastic Four and John Krasinski remains a popular choice for the role of Reed Richards. a.k.a., Mr, Fantastic.
John Krasinski has previously expressed that he is more than willing to take on the role of Mr. Fantastic and it appears his position has not changed. During an interview with Total Film, John Krasinski praised the MCU’s films and noted that if Marvel Studios is considering him to play Mr. Fantastic in a Fantastic Four film, he would love to accept the role:
“You’re like, ‘Do you have any interest in not shattering people’s dreams?’ I would love to be in the Marvel universe. I love those movies because they’re fun, but I also think they’re really well done. And certainly a lot of my friends are in those movies. I have no idea what [Marvel] are thinking. But if they are considering me for Mr. Fantastic, continue to considered me because I would love it.”
However, John Krasinksi added that he may not be the right man when asked if he would considering directing an MCU film, saying, “Oh man. I don’t think I’m your guy. But if I was to act in one? I’d have so much fun.”

During Marvel Studios’ Hall H presentation at San Diego, a Fantastic Four film was not included in the Phase 4 slate. However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige quickly confirmed a Fantastic Four project is being developed towards the end of the presentation.
