The first teaser poster for John Wick: Chapter 3 has surfaced at CinemaCon and has now hit the web thanks to Collider.
In addition to the poster, the film’s official synopsis has also been revealed. While plot details remain under wraps, the concluding chapter will involve the high table and feature the end of John Wick’s journey as the fearsome assassin. The story will follow John attempts to escape from New York now that he is officially excommunicado from The Continental with a contract on his head.
You can check out the teaser poster at Collider and the official synopsis for John Wick: Chapter 3 below.
“John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.”
David Kolstad returned to script the third installment of the neo-noir action thriller franchise starring Keanu Reeves. Kolstad wrote both the first John Wick and its sequel Chapter 2. The screenwriter developed the script with John Wick co-director Chad Stahelski who returned to helm the sequel solo. Stahelski is also directing the third film as well. Production on the project is expected to kick off this week.
John Wick: Chapter 3 is currently slated to hit theaters on May 17, 2019. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the John Wick franchise as we learn it.
