During a Q&A for Buzzfeed, John Wick star Keanu Reeves revealed he would love to play X-Men‘s Wolverine.

Keanu Reeves’ third entry in the John Wick film series is now playing in theaters and the actor participated in a Q&A session with Buzzfeed to promote the anticipated movie. When asked which DC or Marvel character he would like to play if given the choice, Keanu Reeves named X-Men’s Wolverine as his top choice.

“I don’t know, when I was a kid, I always wanted to play Wolverine, so, Wolverine.”

Hugh Jackman portrayed Wolverine in the X-Men film series for seventeen years before retiring from the role in James Mangold’s Logan. Now, Marvel Studios’ is set to take over and presumably reboot the X-Men film series following Disney’ acquisition of 21st Century Fox’s entertainment assets.

Here is the official synopsis for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum:

John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.

Directed by Chad Stahelski from a script written by Derek Kolstad, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum stars Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Ian McShane, Ruby Rose, Common, Lance Reddick, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Jason Mantzoukas, Anjelica Huston, and Boban Marjanovic.

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum will be released in theaters on May 17, 2019.
