Johnny Depp has been ordered by a judge to release his previously withheld drug records in his on-going defamation case with his ex-wife and Aquaman star Amber Heard.
Johnny Depp’s defamation suit against Aquaman star Amber Heard has moved forward in a huge way since its start earlier this year. The case began when his ex-wife Amber Heard claimed Johnny Depp physically assaulted her while they were together. Later on, Johnny Depp claimed that the entire thing was a lie and sued her for defamation of character.
Now, a new development surrounding the defamation suit between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has pushed it forward in a huge way. According to Deadline, a Virginia judge will force Johnny Depp to reveal his previously undisclosed “medical records” related to the actor’s drug use. This request was made by Aquaman star Amber Heard and her team in September. On October 18, Fairfax County Chief Judge Bruce White said the following when the records were ordered:
“By November 15, 2019, Plaintiff must produce all non-privileged, responsive documents requested by Defendant’s document requests.”
Johnny Depp’s team has previously said they have “nothing to hide” in regards to his previous actions while under the influence.
Both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are currently involved in Warner Bros. tent-pole franchises with Fantastic Beasts and Aquaman.
