It sounds like the joker is walking away from a war zone as it sounds like the authorities are running toward a hail of gunfire. It will be interesting to see if the Joker was the cause of this commotion or if the city is just so crime-ridden that its business as usual when trying to catch the subway. Either way, from the looks of this footage fans, should expect the unexpected when the Joker film hits theaters next year.

“Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Directed by Todd Phillips from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver, the film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, Shea Whigham, and Robert De Niro.

Joker will be released in theaters on October 4, 2019.
