Joker is set to release next October and will star Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role. Another DC icon that will be showing up in the film will be none other than the father of Batman himself, Thomas Wayne, played by The Dark Knight Rises actor Brett Cullen. Though earlier set photos revealed the character in the form of political campaign advertisements, fans can finally see Thomas Wayne in the flesh.

A handful of new images from Joker have hit the internet, courtesy of Just Jared, which features more of Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck, as well as Thomas Wayne, which can be seen in the link below. Check out the full gallery from Just Jared here.

“Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Directed by Todd Phillips from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, Shea Whigham, and Robert De Niro.

Joker will be released in theaters on October 4, 2019.
