Jon Watts is in final negotiations to return to direct Tom Holland in his third Spider-Man film.

After the shocking news that Marvel Studios and Sony have reached an agreement to keep Tom Holland and Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s been revealed that a familiar face will direct the third film in the series. According to Deadline, Jon Watts is in final negotiations to return to the directors chair for the third Spider-Man film. Jon Watts directed the first two Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland and it looks like he’ll get to finish his trilogy.

The deal is expected to be hammered out pretty quickly and Jon Watts should sign on in no time. There are no details on the third Spider-Man movie, but the news of it being set in the MCU with Tom Holland and Jon Watts returning should qualm any worries.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is now available on Digital HD and will be released on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-Ray, and DVD on October 1.
