Jonah Hill has officially entered talks to join The Batman opposite Robert Pattinson.
Matt Reeves is gearing up to begin production on his Batman movie, which is set to star Robert Pattinson. Up until this point, casting details had been nonexistent, but it seems Reeves is now looking at actors to play the supporting characters of the movie.
According to Deadline, Jonah Hill is eyed to play a character opposite Robert Pattinson’s Batman. Jonah Hill hasn’t done a big movie in years and has focused on smaller projects. If the deal goes through, Jonah Hill would join a list of high-caliber actors who have played Batman villains. I’d say that Robert Pattinson could have his work cut out for him with this guy.

Details for the Robert Pattinson-led Batman project are being kept under lock and key. Previous rumors once pointed to an earlier version of the script featuring Ben Affleck bookending the film as his current Batman while the film introduced Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader in his earlier years. But with Ben Affleck officially retired from the role, Robert Pattinson is replacing the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League star as Batman.
We know that The Batman will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman and The Penguin. Director Matt Reeves has also confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s acclaimed Year One comic and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new movie trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Matt Reeves’ The Batman is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. These projects include The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, The Suicide Squad, Supergirl, New Gods, and Birds of Prey.
The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021. Stay tuned for the latest news on Jonah Hill, Robert Pattinson and the future of the DC Extended Universe!
