A variant of He Who Remains from the Disney Plus series Loki, Kang serves as the main villain of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania before taking on an even larger role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel has already confirmed that Majors is set to return as the villainous character for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

“I think it has a profound impact on the MCU,” Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania director Peyton Reed tells Empiree. “Jeff Loveness, who wrote this movie, is writing The Kang Dynasty as well, so there’s been a lot of discussion about the impact that this appearance of Kang The Conqueror makes. There are big things in store.”

Ant-Man and The Wasp are back

Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp were last seen in the Marvel Studios epic Avengers: Endgame, which was released in 2019. Marvel recently dropped the first Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer, giving fans a look at their long-awaited MCU return.

Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania also stars Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton and Bill Murray. The film is currently slated to hit theaters on February 17, 2023.
