Jonathan Majors played coy on his role as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Last Fall, Jonathan Majors signed on as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the upcoming film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The actor, known for his Emmy-nominated performance in HBO’s Lovecraft Country will play Kang the Conqueror in the upcoming film, and given recent events in the MCU, fans are certainly in for something intriguing.

During the season finale of Loki, the titular God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) and Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) encountered “He Who Remains” at the Citadel. The revelation of Jonathan Majors affirmed some fan-theories speculating about who was the man behind the curtain of the TVA, and with the Multiverse officially unleashed onto the MCU, we will now see how the real Kang the Conqueror will unleash his power in the future – whether it’s in the second season of Loki or in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Jonathan Majors spoke with EW about his role in Loki, which naturally led to questions regarding his role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The Emmy-nominee played coy:

“You take it a day at a time. That’s all I would say about that. You take it a day at a time and clean your plate and see what tomorrow brings. See what the next story is, and then take it from there.”

Jonathan Majors also discussed the collaborative process he had with Loki director Kate Herron and his co-stars Tom Hiddleston and Sophia Di Martino, commending them in allowing him the freedom to improvise his performance:

“The things that come out that aren’t scripted only come out because the script is the way it is, and the world is what it is. A lot of it was through collaboration with Tom, Sophia, Kate, and Kevin Wright, the producer. They really let me run. And that’s the best thing you can hope for.”
