Avengers: Infinity War star Josh Brolin posted a behind-the-scenes photo of him reprising his role as Thanos on Instagram and then deleted it.

With Avengers: Infinity War being the first film to showcase Thanos’ might as a villain, Josh Brolin is back on set to do some more motion-capture. With Infinity War truly being an ensemble film, filming has been underway for months and it’s clear that Brolin is back on set.

Brolin posted a picture on his Instagram account that showed his face covered with dots but it appears that the post has since been deleted it. The picture was taken in or near the Infinity War set and features his entire face covered. We’re not sure why the image was deleted, considering it didn’t feature any spoilers. Seeing that this is the internet, everything is written in ink, and the image was saved by Twitter account MCU_Tweets. You can check out the image below.

This will be Josh Brolin’s third time playing Thanos, as he was previously seen in Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building towards Thanos and his quest for the Infinity Stones since 2012’s Avengers, where the role of Thanos was played by Damion Poitier.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Josh Brolin, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, and other members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018.
