A stunning piece of Avengers: Endgame concept art gives Josh Brolin’s Thanos an intimidating new weapon.
Josh Brolin’s Thanos nearly fought the Avengers with a completely different weapon in the dramatic finale of Avengers: Endgame, and a new piece of concept art from the film shows off the alternate take on the villain. While Josh Brolin’s Thanos took on the team with a doubled-sided sword that did incredible damage to Captain America’s vibranium shield, the villain was almost given a different weapon to take into battle alongside an alternate costume.
The new Avengers: Endgame concept art of Josh Brolin’s Thanos comes from Ian Joyner, who revealed the new weapon on his Instagram page. The Avengers art shows Thanos wielding an impressive-looking axe instead of the sword that ended up in the film and it looks capable of dishing out plenty of damage to the team, especially with its hooked blade.
