Deadline reports Judy Greer will be reprising her role as Maggie Lang, the ex-wife of Ant-Man himself, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), and mother of his daughter.
Greer returns to join Paul Rudd who returns as the titular superhero along with Evangeline Lilly who will suit up as The Wasp this time around. Michael Douglas, Michael Peña and David Dastmalchian are also returning, as well as Peyton Reed who returns to direct. In addition, Marvel announced this past weekend at San Diego Comic-Con that Laurence Fishburne would be joining the film in the role of Dr. Bill Foster aka Black Goliath from the comics. The studio also confirmed that Walton Goggins is playing Sonny Burch, with Hannah John-Kamen as the Ghost and Randall Park as agent Jimmy Woo.
Plot details are stull under wraps but it’s possible the sequel could further explore Hank Pym’s past and the devastating loss of his wife Janet after she was lost in the quantum realm. Following Scott Lang’s return from the quantum realm in Ant-Man, Pym was left wondering whether or not it was possible that Janet could still be alive.
