‘Jumanji’ Cast Gets Hawaiian Blessing Before Filming

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, AKA the busiest man in Hollywood is about to start filming a brand new Jumanji movie. The film will be a continuation of the original 1995 film based on the Chris Van Allsburg book which starred the late Robin Williams. Kevin Hart, Nick Jonas, Jack Black and Karen Gillan will join The Rock in this jungle adventure.

Before production starts in Hawaii, The Rock shared a nice video of the cast being blessed by a Hawaiian Kahu. The Rock, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan are seen in the video wearing leis around their necks, as the Kahu blesses the cast before the cameras start rolling.

The Rock always knows how to promote films even before production begins. This is yet another case in which he chronicles the excitement of making movies as well as his passion for what is to come. This also showcases that this Jumanji sequel is now blessed with the “power aloha spirit of laughter, enjoyment and love.”

What are you guys most excited about with this new Jumanji sequel? Do you think they will stay true to the spirit of Chris Van Allsburg’s story as well as pay tribute to Robin Williams? Will The Rock’s Dr. Bravestone be his answer and audition to possibly play Indiana Jones? Okay, that seems unlikely but The Rock has done weirder things before. Sound off in the comments below.

Directed by Jake Kasdan and starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Nick Jonas, and Karen Gillan, Jumanji opens in theaters on July 28, 2017.
