Junkie XL To Score Upcoming ‘Tomb Raider’ Reboot

Tomb RaiderDutch musician and film composer Junkie XL (Antonius Tom Holkenborg) has confirmed that he’ll be scoring the upcoming reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise. Originally beginning as a multi-instrumentalist, Junkie XL transitioned into film scores in the mid-2000’s by contributing additional music to Hans Zimmer’s scores, which included the likes of Inception and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Holkenborg also began to score his own soundtracks, which included Deadpool and fan-favorite Mad Max: Fury Road. After Zimmer’s retirement from superhero soundtracks, Holkenborg was announced as the composer for the upcoming Justice League. However, things didn’t pan out, and Holkenborg left the project during post-production, with Danny Elfman coming in to contribute new music.

Despite his falling out from Justice League, Junkie XL has confirmed on Instagram that he’ll be scoring the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot. You can check out the post below:

Previous1 of 11

Jared Leto The Joker Suicide SquadThe Joker is one of the most iconic characters in fiction. His bombastic schemes, twisted behavior and eerie laugh are the things nightmares are made from. Amazing actors like Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger have brought the Joker to life over the years, and he will continue to grace the big and small screen for years to come.

Jared Leto is another amazing actor who’s been lucky enough to play the Joker. The actor was dealt a poor script in Suicide Squad and wasn’t given a chance to properly shine. Certain aspects of his character were enjoyable, and hopefully he will be better in future renditions, but for now, Leto is considered a disappointment. No matter how far the actor pushed himself to get into character, things just didn’t click for him this time around.
