‘Justice League’ BTS Photos Show Kiersey Clemons Transforming Into Iris West

The Flash Justice League Kiersey Clemons

New behind-the-scenes photos from 2017’s Justice League offer a closer look at Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising star Kiersey Clemons, who was originally supposed to play Iris West before being cut during the film’s troubled production.

Although Justice League connected with some audience members, many fans of the previous DC Extended Universe installments like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice felt that the film should’ve stuck closer to director Zack Snyder’s original vision. After Snyder stepped away from Justice League during post-production, The Avengers director Joss Whedon boarded the project to help re-shoot and re-tool Snyder’s edit. Almost a year later, fans are still demanding for Warner Bros. to release the Snyder Cut of Justice League to get a glimpse at entire sequences and characters removed from the film’s theatrical cut.

Much like the way Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson was completely cut out of Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Clemons’ Iris West, the iconic love interest of Barry Allen (Ezra Miller), a.k.a. the Flash, was removed from Justice League during the heavy editing. Now a new set of photos offers an even closer look at Clemons becoming Iris on set. Check out the images below!

From the look of BTS photos and videos that have been released from Justice League, it seems that the newcomerS like Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash all had subplots cut or heavily edited for the final cut. The only subplot of Barry Allen’s in Justice League that made the final cut was with his father, played by Billy Crudup. Though Clemons is still set to appear in the Flash solo movie, that film’s release seems to be pretty far away.

But don’t worry DC fans. While you wait for a Flash solo movie, 2019 will bring to the big screen films like Shazam!, Joker and Wonder Woman 1984. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Justice League and the DC Extended Universe as more information becomes available.
