In the DC Extended Universe, the Wayne Manor has seen better days, but it looks as though it’s going to be refurbished in the near future if the ending of Justice League is of any indication. But what eagle-eyed fans have noticed is that when Bruce Wayne enters his estate, there’s a certain object there that hearkens back to that fateful night in Crime Alley…
DC fans on Reddit have noticed that the portrait of Thomas Wayne (portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan) can be seen inside Wayne Manor as Bruce Wayne makes a promise to restore the estate to its former glory. However, it’s obscured slightly by the dilapidated architecture and is leaning against the fireplace:
Fans are hopeful that the Flashpoint adaptation will show Morgan’s take on Thomas Wayne, who becomes Batman in that alternate timeline, and others hope that Affleck’s Batman will somehow get a chance to meet his father one last time.
Justice League will be released on digital formats on February 13, 2018 and on home video on March 13, 2018 — the latter of which will feature an extended cut. The film is made up of an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne (Batman), Henry Cavill as Kal-El/Clark Kent (Superman), Gal Gadot as Diana Prince (Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry (Aquaman), Ezra Miller as Barry Allen (The Flash), Ray Fisher as Victor Stone (Cyborg), Ciarán Hinds as Steppenwolf, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, J. K. Simmons as Commissioner James ‘Jim’ Gordon, Joe Morton as Dr. Silas Stone, Amber Heard as Mera, and Billy Crudup as Dr. Henry Allen.
