‘Justice League’: Gal Gadot On Wonder Woman Working With The League

Wonder Woman Gal Gadot Justice LeagueDC’s team-up blockbuster, Justice League, is almost upon us. With the film’s release approaching, Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot has been discussing how the Amazonian warrior princess takes to working alongside the superhero team and the difficult dynamic with Ben Affleck’s Batman as the two learn to lead the League into battle.

Speaking recently to USA Today, Gadot discussed a facet of Diana Prince we saw earlier this year in Wonder Woman and how it plays into Justice League:

“[Diana enjoys] working with people who are also outsiders and different like she is.”

Justice League seems ready to embrace the team’s status as not only heroes, but outsiders, just as Gadot has said. Bruce Wayne is no stranger to brooding on his own and trailers have shown us a Barry Allen who is in need of friends, as well as an Aquaman who doesn’t seem to want any (at least not any who live on land or dress like bats).

Talking about the dynamics of the leaders of the Justice League, Batman and Wonder Woman (at least until Superman makes his return from the grave), Gadot revealed the two are struggling to make it work:

“This is the first time we actually see them not only fighting together but also strategizing on what’s the right thing to do together. They’re not always on the same page.”

It sounds like Bats and Diana have got a long road ahead of them before they can hope to take down Steppenwolf.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Willem Dafoe, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League will be released in theaters on November 17, 2017.

The 7 Best Comic Books Of DC’s Geoff Johns

Previous1 of 8

Geoff Johns DC Sinestro Corps WarAs Doomsday Clock approaches, DC superstar Geoff Johns is reasserting himself back into the comic book world in a big way. Characters from Watchmen have been bleeding into the DC Universe since the beginning of DC Rebirth, and Johns, no stranger to writing universe threatening tales, is finally ready to kick that story into high-gear this November.

He may now be the co-head of DC Films, but Johns got his start in the comic book world. Johns has been my favorite comic book writer since I started reading comics as a kid and his skill has only expanded since then. As his name has grown, Johns has been able to take more and more risks as he utilizes his signature, emotion-filled storytelling techniques on everyone from Aquaman to Superman.
