‘Justice League’ Concept Art Reveals Motherbox At S.T.A.R. Labs From Deleted Scene

Justice League DC Films

New Justice League concept art recently surfaced in the DC fan community and it features a Motherbox in Silas Stone’s lab and his possible efforts to destroy it.

The production of Justice League is the stuff of Hollywood legend. From the desperate and reactionary change in tone at the start of production to the tragic departure of Zack Snyder from the director’s chair, and the drastic measures Joss Whedon took to try and salvage the picture – it was clear that no one could save The Justice League. And even though it’s been nearly a year since the film’s release, we seemingly get news, gossip, and rumors about what the movie could have been. Much of that comes in the form of the concept art shown below.

Reddit user, BeenTryin, posted the shot of what appears to a Motherbox getting shot by a science laser in Silas Stone’s lab. The picture is shown below.

It’s a rather standard troupe/cliche to use a laser to convey scientific experimentation in movies and television so we can’t determine what Stone intended to do with the laser. He could have been trying to destroy it, test its stability and durability, or even do some sort of spectroscopy or radioactive decay test, but Stone was clearly supposed to have a bigger role to play with the Motherbox. Sadly we’ll never know as the scene was scrapped, as was most of Stone’s role in the film but who knows – maybe he would have been instrumental in helping the Justice League use the Motherbox against Steppenwolf or reviving Superman.

What do you think Silas Stone’s role would have been? Sound off in the comments below!

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
