Zack Snyder Justice League

Since the release of Justice League, fans have been discussing the polarizing impact the film has had. While most people agree that the final product is not what it had the potential to be, the idea of original director Zack Snyder receiving his own director’s cut has gotten fans talking.

Snyder, who left the film back in May due to a personal family need, shot most of the film and had an assembly cut finished prior to departing. Once he left, Joss Whedon stepped in to complete the final cut, and in the process reshot a fair amount of footage in order to bring it all together. The result was somewhat of a mash between the two directorial styles.

Fans have been requesting a release of the Snyder-only cut, believing that his singular vision might yield a more complete film. However, a VFX artist who worked on Justice League has squashed any notion of that happening over on Reddit:

“1000% bulls**t. As I’ve said, of course, there is an assembly cut Zack had going before he left, but that was 9 months ago. He himself said he hasn’t touched or interfered or been a part of the process since March. There is no cut. People like this guy (who spread the rumor) are the worst, perpetuating rumors of processes they don’t understand.”

What do you think, are you disappointed there is not a complete “Snyder-cut” that would be possible to release? Sound off in the comments below!

Here is the synopsis for Justice League:

“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”

Directed by Zack Snyder, the film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J.K. Simmons, Ciaran Hinds, Amber Heard, Joe Morton and Billy Crudup.

Justice League is now playing.
