‘Justice League’ Director Zack Snyder Confirms Young Darkseid Concept Art

Darkseid Justice League Concept Art Zack Snyder

Justice League director Zack Snyder confirms concept art of a young Darkseid appearing during the “history lesson” flashback battle.

Concept art surfaced with what many believed to be a young Darkseid surrounded by ships during the “history lesson” sequence in the film. Darkseid’s appearance was eventually cut from the film altogether but it seems Snyder originally planned on including the big bad in the “history lesson” scene. A fan on Vero reached out to Snyder and asked if the figure in the concept art was either a young Steppenwolf or Darkseid. The director responded with  Darkseid’s real name, Uxas, confirming the art features a young Darkseid.

Here is plot synopsis for the film:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
