There’s no telling just yet when fans of Justice League will get to see the film based on Zack Snyder’s vision. However, one fan has taken it upon themselves to create some fanart of how the film’s home release cover could look.
While Justice League is already available on home release with various covers, fans disappointed in the butchered film released last year wait in anticipation to view the film’s original story. “Original” as in told with the same amount of passion from Zack Snyder that fans saw in prior projects like Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Like the Richard Donner cut of Superman II, it could take time, but that hasn’t stopped fans from envisioning what could be. And one Reddit user shared a fan made image of such a Snyder Cut.
The fan art cover strings together various images of the DC heroes from the DCEU films, but also integrates scenes that fans did not see in films. For example, Barry Allen rescuing Kiersey Clemons’ Iris West, a scene not shown in the final version, made it onto the fan made cover of the Zack Snyder Cut of Justice League. More than that, as you can see, Darkseid’s presence looms in the background. And if you know your comic book covers, you’ll recognize that this cover shares some similarities with the first part of “The Darkseid War.” Here, have a look:
FAN-MADE: Not sure who made this, but it brought a smile. If only, eh? from DC_Cinematic
Fanmade or not, it does seem more dynamic than at least one of the Justice League home release covers. Though this fanmade cover for the Snyder Cut does not, however, seem to come with a 4K version. So it looks like fans would have to be content with Blu-Ray.
Again, though, it’s a guessing game at this point when fans will see Zack Snyder’s original vision of Justice League. How would it be presented? Would it be released in theaters? Maybe put on the DC Universe streaming service before a physical release? Both the fans and Zack Snyder himself continue to keep hope alive to see the original vision of Justice League brought to light. And if the current success of Aquaman is any indication, it’s that trusting the vision of the director and not editing a film by committee can reap positive results.
Until that day comes, though, fans will continue to hope for the Snyder Cut of Justice League to see the light of day. In the meantime, though, what do you think of this fanmade cover? Were the Snyder Cut to be released, do you think this is a good cover? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
Justice League is currently available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
