DC fans have launched a website supporting the release of the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League.
Justice League opened to mixed reviews and has been underperforming at the box office, causing many to wonder how the film might have fared had Zack Snyder’s original vision for the superhero epic not been retooled during the reshoots overseen by Joss Whedon. Since then, fans have been petitioning Warner Bros. to release Zack Snyder’s cut of the superhero film and now a website supporting those calls has gone live. Featuring articles that highlight Snyder’s work, a portion of ForSnyderCut.com’s introduction reads as follows:
ForSnyderCut Web site’s mission is to share what we love about the vision we’ve seen and bring to light the vision on Justice League that we didn’t see.
The Snyder Cut would be driven by the consistency and integrity of principle photography under the same director, cinematographer, editor, and actors working from the same pre-approved script at the peak of their preparation.
Our goal is to see the time, care, deliberation, preparation, artistry, and intentions that went into principle photography, principle performances, polished production, and the prior screenplay composed out of a place of passion, joy, excitement, and cooperation; compared to the hurried and desperate efforts rushed out under duress.
However well-intentioned the latter, we believe the talent and artistry of the filmmakers, actors, visual effects artists, etc. will be better represented in the first case.
The website is not 100% complete and more content will be added later, according to creator Fiona.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Connie Nielsen, Julian Lewis Jones and Ciarán Hinds.
Justice League is now playing in theaters!
