The production designer of Zack Snyder’s Justice League has shared a new piece of concept art for the movie featuring Ray Fisher’s Cyborg.

Earlier this week, Justice League production designer Patrick Tatopoulos took to Instagram to share a haunting piece of concept art for the movie, showing a crucified Cyborg. In the comments of the post, Tatopoulos explained that he painted the piece to show the “terrifying and painful moments” Ray Fisher’s Victor Stone goes through while becoming Cyborg.

Patrick Tatopoulos and Zack Snyder have collaborated on multiple projects, including 300, Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Tatopoulos is currently working on Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil while Zack Snyder is shooting his zombie movie Army of the Dead for Netflix.

Ray Fisher’s future as Cyborg is currently uncertain. The character was last seen in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned for the latest news on Zack Snyder and Ray Fisher’s future as Cyborg in the DC Extended Universe.
