Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 star Karen Gillan has shared a behind-the-scenes look at a damaged/injured Nebula.
James Gunn and the rest of the motley crew are finally filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 after nearly half a decade. The upcoming threequel is set to be a reset for the Guardians who, after being brought back from the snap, are now reeling with the events that took place while they were gone. Beyond that, the sequel is expected to highlight how Zoe Saldana’s Gamora interacts with the crew considering the version they knew died at the hands of Thanos.
At the center of Gamora’s character will be Karen Gillan’s Nebula, who has grown quite fond of her sister. And it looks like the film will be putting her through the wringer as a behind-the-scenes photo posted by star hints at a damaged Nebula. Taking to Instagram, the star posted a photo of the cyborg with a charred look on her face, implying that she’ll be taking significant damage at some point in the Guardians film.
In the photo, the Guardians of the Galaxy star says how she and her team have had to re-apply the makeup for Nebula countless times.

Nebula and Gamora last appeared in Avengers: Endgame. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
Avengers: Endgame is available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD, while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will hit theaters on May 5, 2023.
