Karen Gillan is one of the most underrated talents involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actress debuted as Nebula in 2014’s Guardians of The Galaxy and will return in the sequel, due out on May 5th. Nebula is a unique character. Being the daughter of Thanos, one would assume she – and her sister Gamora – would take on a huge part in the upcoming Avengers film Infinity War. The movie will – finally – feature Thanos as the lead villain.

While promoting the latest Guardians film, ScreenRant asked if Karen Gillan would like to see the character take on a more prominent role in the sequel:

“I hope so. Of course, that would be amazing! When I was preparing to play Nebula the first time, I read the Infinity Gauntlet. I loved it because it was like the most Nebula heavy comic and yeah, I mean that would be amazing if it does for that storyline. I’m hoping. I don’t know yet – very big secret, but I’m hoping.”

Now, we have no idea how big – or small – Nebula’s role will be in the upcoming Avengers sequel, but considering Marvel’s passion and care for the source material, one would assume Karen Gillan will have a significant role. Infinity War features – perhaps – the biggest cast ever put to screen, as it includes members of The AvengersGuardians of The Galaxy, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange and of course, Spider-Man franchises. What would you guys like to see? Are you excited for the upcoming film?

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theatres everywhere on May 5th, 2017.
