Suicide Squad‘s own Harley Quinn, or Margot Robbie as some people know her, shows her wild side in this new promo for Saturday Night Live‘s upcoming 42nd season. In this interesting clip for SNL‘s kickoff of the new season we get to see two of our favorite wacky personalities, Robbie and Kate McKinnon, together sipping wine and sharing small talk before letting loose on the dance floor.
McKinnon starts off the conversation asking Robbie who she plans to vote for in the upcoming American presidential election, and we find out Margot actually has more in common with her DC Comics alter-ego than we first thought. It turns out she can’t vote in the election because she is a felon, not necessarily because she is Australian. Making Mister J proud, indeed.
Their conversation takes all sorts of weird turns when discussing things like romantically pursued raccoons, ensuring us we’re in for a treat when we get to see their interactions, along with the rest of the Saturday Night Live cast, for a full episode on October 1st, this Saturday.
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
Tune in this Saturday, October 1st for the start of SNL‘s 42nd season at 11:30/10:30c.
