Katie Cassidy To Appear in ‘Arrow’s 100th Episode

Arrow has started production on its 100th episode, which will also be part of the 4-show mega crossover with The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. Yesterday, we found out that Robert Queen will be somehow involved in the episode, and it appears that another familiar face will be in it. Katie Cassidy, who was promoted to series regular on The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, while also remaining on Arrow, revealed today on her Facebook page that she will also appear in the 100th episode.

Her character, Laurel Lance a.k.a. the Black Canary, was sadly killed off back in Season 4, but she then appeared on The Flash as her Earth-2 version, the Black Siren. Might she appear in a flashback? Or is the episode where maybe her Earth-2 version finally meet Oliver Queen. Only time will tell, as the crossover is getting ready to start production on all the shows. Her role on the three shows have yet to be revealed as details are being kept under wraps, other than that she will appear in the Season 5 premiere in flashbacks.

“Legacy” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

NEW BEGINNINGS — After Laurel’s (Katie Cassidy) death and the departures of both Diggle (David Ramsey) and Thea (Willa Holland) from Team Arrow, Oliver (Stephen Amell) takes to the streets solo to protect Star City’s citizens as the Green Arrow. With Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) guiding him from the bunker, Oliver is forced to deal with a city that has become overrun with both criminals and a slew of new (and painfully inexperienced) vigilantes. Watching Oliver try to balance his jobs as both the mayor and also the protector of Star City, Felicity suggests he form a new team, but Oliver resists. However, when a deadly new criminal, Tobias Church (guest star Chad L. Coleman), enters the picture, Oliver realizes the best thing for the city might be a new team of superheroes. Meanwhile, the flashbacks take us to Russia where Oliver faces off against the Bratva.

James Bamford directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti and teleplay by Marc Guggenheim & Wendy Mericle (#501).
Original airdate 10/5/2016.”

Arrow Season 5 premieres on Wednesday, October 5 at 8/7c on The CW.
