Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss praisd The Matrix 4‘s incredible depth before teasing what fans can expect from the upcoming movie.
While many are still wondering how The Matrix 4 stars Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves will reprise their roles in the sequel, the pair recently spoke to Empire Magazine about Lana Wachowski’s return to the franchise. Moss revealed that she never even considered returning to play Trinity in another film following The Matrix Revolutions. She also praised the script for its integrity, calling it “a gift.”
“I never thought that it would happen. It was never on my radar at all,When it was brought to me in the way that it was brought to me, with incredible depth and all of the integrity and artistry that you could imagine, I was like, ‘This is a gift.’ It was just very exciting.”
Moss isn’t the only one returning for The Matrix 4 with Keanu Reeves also praising Lana Wachowski’s work on the sequel’s script, saying that the only reason he signed on is because the “wonderful” story resonated with him. He also told Empire that he hopes audiences can take something from what it has to say.
“Lana Wachowski wrote a beautiful script and a wonderful story that resonated with me. That’s the only reason to do it. To work with her again is just amazing. It’s been really special, and the story has, I think, some meaningful things to say, and that we can take some nourishment from.”
