A new piece of fan art for The Matrix 4 shows Keanu Reeves suited up for his highly-anticipated return as Neo.

Like most films due for release in 2021, The Matrix 4 faced a reshuffle due to the ongoing pandemic, but a cool concept design shows off what Keanu Reeves could look like when he returns to the silver screen as Neo. The sequel directed by Lana Wachowski will now debut on HBO Max as well as theaters thanks to the new release model recently unveiled by Warner Brothers. Many are already wondering how Reeves’ character will return in the fourth film since he died at the end of The Matrix Revolutions, but he’ll definitely be back alongside Carrie-Anne Moss’ Trinity.

Set videos from the film showed off some of the ambitious stunts being shot for The Matrix 4, which quickly helped whip up some excitement about the sheer scale of the sequel. Since his recent appearances in the John Wick series suggested the star is still keen to take on his own stunt-work, it seems likely fans will see Keanu Reeves’ Neo right in the middle of that action. The concept from Jakub Masalowski on Instagram imagines an older version of the revolutionary hacker, giving the hero longer hair and Reeves’ John Wick beard.
