New artwork imagines The Matrix star Keanu Reeves suiting up to reprise his role as John Constantine.
Later this year, audiences will see Keanu Reeves return to his most iconic role as Neo for The Matrix 4, rumored to have the subtitle Resurrections. Last year, Reeves returned for Bill & Ted Face The Music, and now fans want to see him reprise his only superhero role as John Constantine from the 2005 film directed by Francis Lawrence.
In November, Peter Stormare took to his Instagram page to share that a Constantine sequel is in the works at Warner Brothers. However, WB has yet to comment on whether or not that is the case. In the meantime, you can check out some awesome fan art from Mizuri that imagines Keanu Reeves back as John Constantine for that potential sequel:
What do you think of the artwork? Do you think we will get a sequel to Keanu Reeves’ Constantine? Let us know in the comments!
Here is the synopsis for 2005’s Constantine:
Based on the DC Comics/Vertigo Hellblazer graphic novels and written by Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello, Constantine tells the story of John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), a man who has literally been to hell and back. When he teams up with skeptical policewoman Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz) to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin sister, their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels that exists just beneath the landscape of contemporary Los Angeles. Caught in a catastrophic series of otherworldly events, the two become inextricably involved and seek to find their own peace at whatever cost.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, Constantine stars Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz, Shia LaBeouf, Tilda Swinton, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Djimon Hounsou, Gavin Rossdale, and Peter Stormare.
Constantine is available on Blu-ray, DVD, and on Digital. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest surrounding Keanu Reeves’ The Matrix 4, and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
