Actor Ken Jeong Campaigns To Replace Henry Cavill As Superman

Superman Henry Cavill Ken Jeong DC Comics

Comedian and actor Ken Jeong has requested that he become the next Superman in the DC Cinematic Universe.

After the news storm surrounding Henry Cavill and his future as Superman ravaged the Internet, people began to ponder who would replace the British actor as the new Man of Steel. Several names were thrown around, including Michael B. Jordan’s, but there is one name that no one mentioned, until now.

Ken Jeong is the Superman we all deserve and, in fact, may need if Cavill’s future is in doubt to continue on as the caped crusader. The man has shown significant range throughout the characters he has played, so it is not that crazy of an idea. Ant-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy turned out two buff comedic actors, who is to say DC can’t up Marvel by turning Ken Jeong into a chisel-abbed Kryptonian. It’s not crazy, right?

No word yet on any Superman films in development and it seems as though Warner Brothers has shifted their focus towards a Supergirl film. I guess if he wanted Jeong could play her. Either way, Warner Brothers has no reason not to at least keep Jeong in the maybe pile for the next Superman.

Do you think Ken Jeong is a solid choice to replace Henry Cavill as Superman? Please share your thoughts in the comments below.
