Avengers: Endgame has been under a microscope ever since its release and recently Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige participated in a Reddit AMA and talked about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward with some familiar or even “forgotten characters.”
Since the Infinity Saga’s inception back in 2008 with Iron Man, the MCU has seen a plethora of characters come and go. Many have said the characters spread out throughout the 22 films that make up the MCU and have in one way or another impacted the future events leading all the way up to Avengers: Endgame.
During his Reddit AMA, Kevin Feige was asked about some of the villains that appeared in the Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2 which got their fifteen minutes but have since been swept under the rug.
To which Kevin Feige responded:
Kevin Feige is a smooth operator and quickly took control of the conversation from the villains to much smaller characters in General Ross (William Hurt) and Harley (Ty Simpkins). Although he did not confirm or deny that we will or will not see characters like the Leader (Tim Blake Nelson), Abomination (Tim Roth) or Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell) again, the door is always open. If Avengers: Endgame has taught us anything it’s that Marvel Studios loves to touch back on the past to create new opportunities for the future.
