Kevin Smith clarified his previous comments about Charlie Cox’s Daredevil appearing in Marvel Studios and Sony’s third Spider-Man film.
Marvel Television and Netflix’s partnership started with the debut of Daredevil, which starred Charlie Cox as The Man Without Fear. However, after Netflix canceled its line-up of Marvel shows, the future of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe remained uncertain, at best.
Therefore, fans of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil were likely thrilled when filmmaker Kevin Smith revealed that he read the character will appear in the third MCU Spider-Man film. However, Kevin Smith recently took to his official Twitter account to clarify that he merely read about Charlie Cox appearing as Daredevil in the next Spider-Man film online and this is only a rumor as opposed to inside information.
Check out Kevin Smith’s post below.
Perspective: While I, too, hope this rumor is true, please remember that I only talked about it with @marcbernardin on #FatManBeyond after I read about it on the internet, just like everyone else. This means I have no inside info. Much like everybody else, I’m just a hopeful fan. https://t.co/t8Kn080UIY
