Kevin Smith expressed his support for seeing the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League on HBO Max.
Yesterday, several stars of Justice League publically expressed their support for seeing Zack Snyder’s original cut of the DC film, offering a glimmer of hope to fans who have been calling on Warner Bros. to release the alternate version to the public. Now, Kevin Smith has added his own voice to the chorus of fans calling on Warner Bros. to release the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League.
Kevin Smith directly called on Warner Bros. to release Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League after former Batman actor Ben Affleck shows his support for the cause on Twitter. Furthermore, Kevin Smith noted that the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League might entice fans to subscribe to HBO Max if it was made available on the upcoming streaming service.

HBO Max is developing multiple DC projects, including a Green Lantern show, a Strange Adventures anthology series, and a DC Super Hero High show from Elizabeth Banks. News of these DC series’ arrived shortly after reports of HBO Max planning to produce DC projects with budgets on par with those of feature films. HBO Max is currently scheduled to launch commercially in the spring of 2020 with an anticipated 10,000 hours of premium content.
