Kiersey Clemons seems to be jumping on to the DCEU’s strategy of dropping hints and little bits of information on social media. Zack Snyder was the first to drop an Aquaman picture late one random night, and since, we’ve gotten pictures of Amber Heard as Mera, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, and now we have our first look at what will be Iris West’s hairstyle. You can check out the photo from her Twitter below.

As you can see from the photo above, it appears as though Iris West will have the same hairstyle as Iris from The Flash TV series. It’s good to see that Kiersey Clemons is having fun with the role, and that even though the film lost an incredibly talented and competent director, she seems to be quite excited to portray the character. I’m very excited to see how her version of Iris will differ from Candice Patton’s portrayal. I was floored by Kiersey Clemons’ acting chops in Dope, a film directed by former Flash director, Rick Famuyiwa.
It’s been said countless times that both Ezra Miller and Rick Famuyiwa were diving deep into the Flash lore, by consuming every comic they could get their hands on. I’d be interested to find out if Kiersey Clemons is taking a similar strategy for her research, if she’s going to use the TV show, or just go in with her own interpretation. I can’t wait to see the romantic chemistry that her and Ezra Miller will have, and I think she is going to be one of, if not the most skillful actor involved in the project. With more and more actors being announced rather frequently for the highly anticipated DCEU entry, I’m hoping we will find out more about a possible replacement director soon.
The Flash is currently scheduled for release on March 16, 2018.
