Fans of the Kingsman films will be happy to learn some new details regarding the Kingsman prequel and The Golden Circle sequel.
According to Collider, Mathew Vaughn’s Kingsman prequel will be a period drama that has been described as showing a history of the world through the eyes of Kingsman. This origin tale — which is set to begin filming in January — will drop the spy-thriller aspect of the previous entries in the franchise. But for those that are big fans of the action-packed version won’t have to wait for long.
Vaugh is currently penning the script for The Golden Circle sequel looking to shoot once the prequel wraps in May or June. This film would see the conclusion of the journey taken between Colin Firth and Taron Egerton’s characters. This also comes on top of the news that a Kingsman series is also in the works and according to the director, it is not going to be what everyone is expecting.
The Kingsman universe is really beginning to come together and looks to take the spy genre to a whole other level as they did with the first Kingsman film. James Bond better watch out, there is a new set of spies in town.
