All good hair things must come to an end. Remember on The Walking Dead when, after five seasons, Rick Grimes finally shaved off his beard and went back to his Season One look? Quite a departure compared to what we’re used to seeing from Andrew Lincoln’s character at the time. But this is about Game of Thrones, so let’s get to that. For the longest time, as Kit Harington revealed prior, the actor has normally kept his Jon Snow-esque look in real life in the event that he was needed for additional shooting for the final season of HBO’s fantasy series.
That series is prepared to wrap up and will finish next year, and with that, so has Kit Harington’s Game of Thrones look, as one Twitter user noted with a photo shared yesterday that shows Harington not just with his hair cut, but sporting a mustache as well. And we must ask- ha- you to take a look at Harington’s transformation in the tweet below:

Not to mention the fact that Kit Harington was also seen with a clean shaven look just a month ago when the Game of Thrones star wished a happy birthday to the lay British playwright, Harold Pinter. So indeed, the end is nigh, and we know that other actors have already wrapped their portions on the HBO fantasy series, such as Emilia Clarke and fellow Stark Maisie Williams.
So the end is indeed nigh for Game of Thrones after so many years. How do you hope the fantasy series concludes? Given that it will be ending probably before George R.R. Martin completes The Winds of Winter, anything is possible. And what do you make of Kit Harington’s new look? Let us know in the comments below.
Game of Thrones currently stars Peter Dinklage, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Lena Headey, Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Liam Cunningham, Alfie Allen, Nathalie Emmanuel, Iain Glen, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, John Bradley, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Joe Dempsie, Rory McCann, Jerome Flynn, Carice van Houten, Ben Crompton, Daniel Portman, and Richard Dormer.
The eighth and final season will premiere in April 2019 on HBO.
