‘Riverdale’ Star KJ Apa Reveals He Auditioned For Spider-Man

Many actors were up for the coveted role of Spider-Man before Tom Holland landed it, including Riverdale KJ Apa, who shared his audition experience in a recent interview.

During an interview with MTV News, KJ Apa opened up about his audition for Spider-Man. Many young actors were up for the Spider-Man role including Asa Butterfield, Nat Wolff, and Timothée Chalamet. Riverdale star KJ Apa once had aspirations to play the iconic hero as well. However, the audition didn’t turn out so well.

During the interview at San Diego Comic Con, the Riverdale star KJ Apa recalled his Spider-Man audition experience:

“I auditioned for Spider-Man. I didn’t get it. You know, sometimes I walk out of an audition — you know when you walk out and you feel really good about it, feel like they loved it or whatever? I didn’t feel like that.”
